People above the age of 50 years in Britain are going to be offered a third COVID-19 vaccine shot in the autumn to eliminate the threat from the infection completely by Christmas, reported The Times.
Two options are under trial currently, under the supervision ofthe chief medical officer for England, Chris Whitty. The first option involves vaccines that have been particularly modified according to new variants, while the second option involves a third shot of one of the three vaccine versions already in use, including the Pfizer-BioNTech, Oxford-AstraZeneca or Moderna shots, stated the newspaper.
